Sebastian Lee is best known for his cello lessons. The 40 easy studies opus 70 and the melodic and melodic progressive studies (opus 113 and opus 31) are part of the standard teaching repertoire. A little forgotten is that Sebastian Lee has written many compositions for several cellos as well as for cello and piano in his over 100 works. The now rediscovered Valse brilliant opus 42 by Sebastian Lee is a melodically beautiful piece that shows a barely perceived side of the composer.
