Reinecke although not as well known today was indeed well known during his lifetime. Not only as a composer but as a pianist, a conductor and a teacher. Janacek, Bruch, Stanford, Albeniz and Grieg were just some of his students... This edition of Von der Wiege bis zum Grabe (From the Cradle to the Grave) is a cycle of pieces transcribed by well-known flautist Ernest Kohler from the originals for piano solo. The short pieces are in the style of Schumann's Romances. Grade 5 - 6 level.
