Based on a hymn found in the Cologne Gesangbuch, a German hymnal dating from 1623, this adaptation offers the creative teacher numerous opportunities to teach musical concepts. It features meter changes that shape the irregular phrasing of the original chorale, plus a triple canon. A lovely addition to any concert!
